Winter is Not Over Yet
Etched on black sky
silver smile,
a zillion dazzling eyes
crisp midnight
frosts precocious shoots,
winter is not over
yet.
Flannel sheets
warmed by love,
cosy in
where winter can not
reach.
Dream of berries,
primroses, mint,
scent of warm soil
waiting to give birth,
spring will come.
Be patient
in your dreams –
Night
and winter
will not last
forever.
